Simply THE most magical of days in the Tuscan hills for Matt and Jess.
I can’t really put into words how grateful I am to have been here and to share this glorious day with everyone. My lovely Neil was Matt’s best man, over 30 years of friendship, and being surrounded by so many people we love and have known for so long is a very special thing indeed. Jess, is simply the best of humans and just perfect for Matt. ⚡️REMEMBERING THE DEAD⚡️
(Let’s be real … people die)

Whilst wedding days are of course jam packed with love and life, they often bring with them loss and grief.
I ask my couples before the day if there are any significant people who have died and won’t be there. It doesn’t matter if it’s recent or many years ago, it’s still an important part of your story.

Grief is hard, and it has a funny way of creeping into the happiest occasions because you just wish they were there to see it all.

I love all the different ways to bring along the people they love to share in the day. A photo tucked into a bouquet. A special chair. A mention in a speech. A piece of jewellery. A favourite song. A quiet moment. Or simply speaking their name.

Grief is love with nowhere to go.

The people we love don’t stop being part of our lives just because they aren’t physically here anymore. They’ve still got a place at the party. ❤️
