Love wins in 2020. Okay…so it has been a weird year. I mean REALLY weird…but the weddings I got to share in were extra special.

We can all safely say this has been a very weird time. Usually by this time of the year I am knee deep in editing and my weekends are spent seeing all my lovely couples get married … not this year!
This is the first wedding I’ve shot since February and made me realise just how much I have missed witnessing these important life moments.
Yoli and Andy were meant to be getting married back in April, then with a big wedding party over in Spain where Yoli is from. Obviously none of this could happen and whilst is is still really sad that their families couldn’t come together to celebrate this day it was still so special.
There was Andy and Yoli, their two witnesses, myself and the registrars. Not really knowing what to expect it was really wonderful. The staff at Winchester Registry Office were just brilliant ad very accommodating. There were links set up for their families on Facetime in Spain and Scotland so everyone could feel part of the day. It was really wonderful and very emotional ( I am always a big softy and shed a little tear at weddings, and having missed so many this year this one felt extra special!)
The weather was gorgeous, and very hot … kind of like Spain so Yoli felt at home !! We had a walk around gorgeous Winchester, got some EPIC photos!! Some of their friends had set up a socially distanced picnic in the cathedral grounds. It really was perfect ! Bride and Groom camping chairs, shoes off and sausage rolls … what more could you want!
