Holly and Ross got married at the gorgeous Marylebone Town Hall and then hot-footed it to the Landmark Hotel for afternoon tea.
Hotel Du Vin Winchester Wedding. Fay and Jelmer’s intimate family wedding.
A wonderful intimate Winchester Wedding
Hotel Du Vin
I just loved these two from the moment I met them and we shared in such a wonderful day.
They decided to have a small wedding, just their parents (and me …what an honour !) Their parents hadn’t met until the day before the wedding, and I know they were both quite nervous! On the day you just wouldn’t have known. It was a beautiful, laid back and intimate day, shared with the most important people in their life.
We all caught the train into Winchester and walked up to Catkin and Pussywillow, the wonderful florist by the station. Her flowers looked amazing against the Needle and Thread dress. I just LOVE a girl who doesn’t feel the need to go for the normal white/cream dress. It looked absolutely STUNNING. Fay picked up her bouquet and Jelmer his button hole and we all walked up the hill to Winchester Registry Office to GET THEM MARRIED!!
After a very emotional ceremony, ( I’m not sure who cried more, Fay, Jelmer’s mum or me !!) we all had a mooch around Winchester in the sunshine, taking some photos and chatting before heading to ever lovely Hotel Du VIn.
Champers and afternoon tea was served and Fay gave a wonderful speech in Dutch she been practising… OOH and she made THE MOST AMAZING CAKE …. Soooon good !!
It really was a perfect wedding and just goes to show you don’t have to have all the bells and whistles to have a magical wedding day.
Enjoy a little look at their wedding day.
